You may be invited to provide to HKGTA Charity Foundation your personal data on HKGTA Charity Foundation website(s) or through other media on a voluntary basis for different purposes at different times. If it becomes necessary for HKGTA Charity Foundation to take action against you for recovering from you the debt you owe to HKGTA Charity Foundation, you agree that your personal data can be used by HKGTA Charity Foundation in identifying and taking legal action against you.
15. Access and Correction of Information and Withdrawal of Consent
You have the right to request in writing to the Personal Data Privacy Officer of HKGTA Charity Foundation:
a. for access to your personal data held by HKGTA Charity Foundation (if any); b. require HKGTA Charity Foundation to correct your personal data that is inaccurate (if any); and c. withdraw your consent to the use of your personal data (such withdrawal may, however, affect our services to you).
All such requests will be handled promptly in accordance with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. HKGTA Charity Foundation may charge a reasonable fee for processing your data access request.
16. Direct Marketing
HKGTA Charity Foundation cannot use your personal data for direct marketing purposes without your consent. By providing your personal data and consent to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes in the manner as particularized in the Personal Information Collection Statement (PICS) provided to you when we collect your personal data, you are deemed to have given consent to the use of your personal data for the direct marketing purposes as set out in the PICS. You may withdraw your consent any time by writing to the Personal Data Privacy Officer of HKGTA Charity Foundation.
In addition, when you are collecting specific personal data from any individuals, please make sure that you provide them with a PICS. A PICS is a specific statement that informs the individuals the nature of personal data collected, the specific use of the data so collected and the parties whom the personal data may be transferred to, etc.
17. Change of Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy Statement may from time to time be updated, revised and changed. Any change, update or modification will be effective immediately upon being posted on website(s) of HKGTA Charity Foundation. You are advised to check it on a regular basis.
18. Change of Control
If the ownership of certain business of HKGTA Charity Foundation changes, HKGTA Charity Foundation may need to transfer your personal data to the new owner of such business so the new owner may continue to operate the business subject to the condition that the new owner shall make use of your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy Statement.
